Pregnancy MYTHS!

I have finally reached 26 weeks! It feels like forever. I want to debunk a few pregnancy myths that we are all fed before and throughout our pregnancy! These are pertaining to my own experience of pregnancy, and may not all

Myth #1: When you're pregnant all you feel is happy, grateful, and excited.
The reality is that I feel like garbage all day long. I am definitely overwhelmed, anxious, and even depressed at times. My body is going through an infinite amount of hormonal changes, and it's a process. I thought that when I became pregnant everything would be sunshine and rainbows and my only thoughts would be about how happy I would be when my baby came. While I am still excited for my baby to arrive, my pregnancy has been filled with anxiety and worries. My body aches, I have constant headaches, mood shifts, I can't sleep, I go to the restroom every 20 minutes and let's not even get into all the health issues I've had. It's not that I am not happy, pregnancy is HARD. We do not recognize that enough!

Myth #2: You will glow during pregnancy.
This might be true for some women; but for me it wasn't. I have the acne of a 13 year old girl.
